Julie and Danny shared a wonderful day with friends and family in St. Louis, as their long awaited wedding celebration took place.  Julie had a vision and she asked Josie and her staff of Cosmopolitan Events to help make it all happen.  Rustic Elegance was the theme of the day and it was showcased through every element.   The couple chose the Studio Inn in Chesterfield, for their tented reception and then danced the night away under starlight skies.  It was a refreshing and beautiful day.

What made this couple so special was their faith in God and their desire for purity of relationship.  When the minister said, "You may kiss the bride," that was a pretty special moment for Danny & Julie.  As we have experienced many weddings, I don't think I have experienced quite the admiration that this couples friends and family had for them.  It was truly inspiring to hear the example and friendship that Danny and Julie have been to their loved ones.  With that as their foundation, we are excited for their future together as they continue to grow in love and faith.

Some love also goes out to Josie and the girls from Cosmopolitan Events this was the first time we had the chance to work together and we cant wait to do it again. If your in the St. Louis look give them a call or find them on Facebook.

Derrick and Erin had such a beautiful wedding with a lot of details. In part to the talented Cally Shane + Kacy Rader from Fabulous Affair. We have always enjoyed working with these two always have it together. It was also the first time for Julia and I shooting in the new 4 Diamond Marriot Hotel and Conf in Normal,IL

The wedding seemed to have it all even the good Vodka. It was a wedding with Polish tradition so you can expect a great party. We just wanted to wish Derrick, Erin, and Michael (their son) all the best. Enjoy life to your fullest!

Brett and Amy were such a wonderful couple that endured a warm and humid day. Never complained just enjoyed every minute of this fairy-tale wedding held at the Soangetaha Country Club.  Weddings may be routine to some people, but to Julia & I we see uniqueness in every relationship and detail.  The neat thing about Brett and Amy was how close they were to their families. It was refreshing to see and I have to admit we have seen a lot of that this year during this wedding season. As a father of three beautiful girls, I was paticulary taken back (yes even with emotion) at the relationship between Amy and her father Steve. I really love the moments that they spent in Grandad Yemm's, two door, 1955 Bel Air convertible, right before the ceremony. A time that will never be forgotten. My favorite shot was when Amy laid her head on her dad's shoulder. If you look closely what you will see is the biggest grin on her dad, dimples and all. It was a beautiful moment included in what was a beautiful day in Galesburg, IL, on the lake.

Words can not express the simplicity and beauty that went into Kate and Ben's wedding on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Kate and Ben are one of those couple who are very style savvy to begin with. So, it is no surprise that they did a incredible job designing this wedding along side of their super hero event planner Cathy Teeters of Beautiful Weddings in Bloomington, IN.  She enabled the wedding day to go off without a hitch.  We had a little bit of heat but not enough to bring down a crazy wedding party.

Kate knows a thing or two about weddings she is the editor of Bride-Buzz a wedding blog for daily wedding inspiration. When you see the details of the wedding invitations, the ceremony cards and the place setting menu you can say she knows her stuff. Even the little map that she created that was in the gift bags for all of the out of town guest.

If you have never been to Bloomington, IN you should. There is more there than just IU Basketball! We fell in love with the city and look forward to going back.

This week we are  doing things a bit different, so leave a comment if you like it this way. I am not going to do a online showcase for two reason. One there were just to many details with this wedding that I wanted you all to see. The second reason is this, in about two weeks we will have a teaser of their Black Label Project.  Andy, and myself shot about 15 rolls of super 8 film. We had a blast and Andy is working on a teaser right now. Please stay tuned for that. We are really excited about this Black Label Project of Ben and Kate's wedding.

Some fine vendors who made all this possible

Words cannot express the honor that Jeff and I feel as we photographed the 3rd wedding for the Tolley family.  From Ellen & Chad to Rachel & Paul and now Janice & Nick, there is no doubt these girls have plans to carry on the generations of healthy happy marriages that have been modeled by their parents and a long line of grandparents.

Janice and Nick had a day full of love and fun as they whole heartedly exchanged their vows at the First United Methodist Church and then left to celebrate with their bridal party at the Railroad Days in Galesburg.  The prefect party followed at the Orpheum Theatre where for many years, Janice had preformed on the stage in a large variety of plays.  As a young lady, Janice lit up the stage fulfilling her passion for acting, she never dreamed that one day, she and the love of her life would light up the very same stage as they shared their first dance as husband and wife.  It was just one of the many elements that made this day very special for Janice and Nick and all those that had the honor of observing it.
